I use a firewall that lets me approve or deny every request every program makes. It also lets me set any given program for approval or denial of all its requests without asking. I'm finding that PIM asks for Internet access rather often. This is in the form of python.exe asking for permission, which I won't blanket-approve for obvious security reasons. I still want PIM to automatically check, but I'd be fine if it only asked once a week or something, rather than once per hour as it feels like it does right now. It would also be nice if the requests could come at specific times so I know that's what it is.

Some way to set the frequency of these checks, or to schedule them explicitly.
Describe alternatives you've considered
If there were one clearly-named .exe that was only PIM and that nothing else could use to access the Internet, that would work too. Then I could approve/deny the other process names and not worry that I gave PIM blanket permission.
