Steps to reproduce

  1. Open any text file with multiple lines using NOTEPAD3;
  2. Copy multiple lines of text as needed;
  3. Press Ctrl+H,open the “Replace Text” dialog, press Ctrl+V inside the “Replace with” field, you'll notice that only the first line of the copied text appears in this field.

Expected behavior

[Bug]: The “Replace with” field in the “Replace Text” dialog does not allow multiple lines of text to be entered. This feature worked correctly in version 7.26.502, but has not been working properly since version 7.26.504.It seems that line breaks cannot be recognized.

Actual behavior

I hope this issue can be fixed as soon as possible; this feature is very useful.

Confirmation

  • I searched existing issues and this is not a duplicate.
  • I can reproduce this on a clean install (or a fresh INI via Notepad3 /i), not only with my customized config.
  • If attaching Notepad3.ini: I've reviewed it for sensitive entries ([Recent Files], [Recent Find], [Recent Replace], Favorites=, DefaultDirectory=) and redacted what I don't want to share publicly.
